Welcome to SixStoic (the "App"). We respect your privacy and understand the deeply personal nature of building self-discipline and overcoming habits. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store, and process your information when you use our App.
1. Local-First & Privacy-Focused Philosophy
SixStoic is built as a privacy-first application. Your journey data belongs entirely to you.
- Local Database Storage: Your profile information (username, age, gender), dependency assessment results, personalized healing plan tasks, urge tracking logs, points earned, notification preferences, and streak timer milestones are stored locally on your device (using the Drift database framework).
- Not Medical Advice: SixStoic is a personal development and habit-tracking tool. The App does not provide medical, psychological, or clinical diagnosis, treatment, or therapy.
2. Onboarding, Progress & Push Notification Data
When you use SixStoic, you provide optional parameters to customize your app experience and notifications:
- Profile & Assessment: Username, age, gender, and answers to seven initial onboarding questions used solely to evaluate your current habit level and generate your custom healing plan tasks.
- Progress Tracking: Interactive task completion, points accumulated, streak timers, and logged urge episodes.
- Local Push Notifications: Scheduled reminder times, daily motivational prompts, and notification settings.
All of this data is stored locally on your device via Drift. Local push notifications are scheduled entirely on your device's native operating system—we do not operate remote messaging servers to read or send your notification schedule.
3. Optional iCloud Synchronization
If you enable iCloud Sync within the App's settings, your streak milestones, task progress, urge logs, and points will synchronize across your signed-in Apple devices.
- Secure Infrastructure: Synchronization is performed using Apple’s native iCloud infrastructure (CloudKit / Key-Value Storage).
- Zero Server Access: We do not host, view, transmit, or have access to any data stored inside your private iCloud container.
